ELIGIBILITY: The SunTrust “A Picture is Worth $1,000” Mobile Deposit Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the 50 states of the United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older. Employees of SunTrust Banks, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, distributors, franchisees, and advertising/promotion agencies involved in the administration of this Sweepstakes (“Promotion Parties”) and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent and spouse or "step" of each) and those living in the same household of each such employee are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins on October 1, 2012 at 12:00:00 a.m. ET and ends on December 31, 2012 at 8:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Sweepstakes Period”). The Sweepstakes Period consists of three Monthly Entry Periods and three (3) random drawings (one per Monthly Entry Period) to award a total of ninety-two (92) “Prizes” from among all eligible automatic and mail-in entries received, as described below.
Monthly Entry Period #1 (October): begins October 1, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. ET and ends October 31, 2012 at 8:59:59 p.m. ET.
Monthly Entry Period #2 (November): begins November 1, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. ET and ends November 30, 2012 at 8:59:59 p.m. ET.
Monthly Entry Period #3 (December): begins December 1, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. ET and ends December 31, 2012 at 8:59:59 p.m. ET.
Entry in the Sweepstakes does not constitute entry into any other promotion, contest or sweepstakes. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
TO ENTER: You will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes each time you complete a Mobile Deposit into your SunTrust consumer checking, savings or money market account during the Sweepstakes Period using the SunTrust Mobile Banking App. Deposit must be confirmed on your mobile device (as reflected on the screen "Deposit Submitted"). You will receive an entry into the drawing for the Monthly Entry Period during which the Mobile Deposit is confirmed. A deposit is not considered qualified for the purposes of this Sweepstakes if the deposited check is returned by the paying bank for any reason. Deposit account must be open and in good standing (determined in the Sponsor’s sole discretion). Sponsor reserves the right to determine if a Mobile Deposit is a qualified Mobile Deposit for the purposes of this Sweepstakes. To enter without having a SunTrust account or making a Mobile Deposit, hand print your full name, address, telephone number, and email address (if any) on a 3" x 5" card and mail your entry (a “Mail Entry”) to: SunTrust Mobile Deposit Sweepstakes, PO Box 15167, Dept. H445512, White Bear Lake, MN 55115-0167. For Monthly Entry Period #1 (October), Mail Entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2012 and received by November 7, 2012. For Monthly Entry Period #2 (November), Mail Entries must be postmarked by November 30, 2012 and received by December 7, 2012. For Monthly Entry Period #3 (December), Mail Entries must be postmarked by December 31, 2012 and received by January 7, 2013. Limit ten (10) entries per person for each Monthly Entry Period, regardless of method of entry. With respect to Mail Entries, no mechanical reproductions will be accepted. Multiple Mail Entries may not be combined on a single card or in a single outer postmarked envelope. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, or postage-due mail/entries. Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION/VERIFICATION: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received for each Monthly Entry Period. The drawing for Monthly Entry Period #1 will be conducted on or about November 8, 2012. The drawing for Monthly Entry Period #2 will be conducted on or about December 10, 2012. The drawing for Monthly Entry Period #3 will be conducted on or about January 8, 2013. Non-winning entries from one Monthly Entry Period drawing will not be rolled over to any subsequent Monthly Entry Period drawings. Potential winners will be notified via mail and/or telephone and/or email, using contact information available at the time of entry. Sponsor is not responsible for any changes in mailing address and/or changes in telephone number of entrants that delay or disrupt notification. Sponsor shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by a potential winner for any reason. Winners are subject to verification, including verification of age. Potential winners will be required to complete, sign, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility & Liability/Publicity Release (except where requiring execution of a Publicity Release is unlawful) and a Form W-9 within ten (10) calendar days of date on the notification or prize will be forfeited. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING: Monthly Entry Period #1 (31 Prizes): $1,000. Monthly Entry Period #2 (30 Prizes): $1,000. Monthly Entry Period #3 (31 Prizes): $1,000. Cash prize will be awarded as a deposit via ACH into the winner’s SunTrust deposit account (if entry was via Mobile Deposit) or via check if winner is a non-account holder. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for each Monthly Entry Period drawing. Limit one (1) prize per person/household, per Sweepstakes Period. Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state & local taxes on prize. No substitution of prize will be allowed. No transfer of prize will be permitted.
The total value of all prizes for Monthly Entry Period #1 is $31,000. The total value of all prizes for Monthly Entry Period #2 is $30,000. The total value of all prizes for Monthly Entry Period #3 is $31,000. The total value of all prizes for the Sweepstakes Period is $92,000.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: This Sweepstakes is offered only in the United States and is governed by the laws of Georgia without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, and all claims or disputes must be resolved in (and entrants consent to the jurisdiction of) the federal and state courts in Georgia. By participating, you agree that all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket damages, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs. If for any reason this Sweepstakes cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the security, dministration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, or if the Sweepstakes is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes. In the event that the Sweepstakes is cancelled, all prizes for the current Monthly Entry Period will be awarded in a random drawing from eligible entries received as of the time of cancellation. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify and prosecute any individual who tampers with or attempts to tamper with the entry process and/or the Official Rules Web site.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Promotion Parties from user's participation in, or attempt to participate in, the Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrant releases Sponsor, the Promotion Parties from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes. By accepting a prize, recipient agrees to release and hold Sponsor and Promotion Parties, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, harmless from and against any liability for injuries, including death, losses or damages of any kind to persons or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Sweepstakes or from acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of a prize. Except where prohibited, by accepting a prize, Winner grants Sponsor and those acting under its authority permission to use his/her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, image, biographical information and statements, at any time, for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes without additional compensation, in any and all media, worldwide, without notice, review or approval. If you are selected as a winner, your name will also be included in a publicly-available winners list.
